Who I am

I’m Jordi Garcia Godia, an IT leader based in Barcelona experienced in mixing support, DevOps and management in different industries and company sizes but with a big preference for fast-growing start-ups. Challenging the traditional IT approach with creative solutions while fostering scalable, dynamic, secure and collaborative environments.

Specialised in setting up IT operations from scratch at fast-paced technology startups. I like to get my hands dirty collaborating with different teams and business units in order to bring ideas to life making companies successful through automation, first class customer service and hard work.

I’m currently working at Seqera Labs as Head of IT. Before that I have worked at Hopin as Director of IT, N26 as the Engineering Manager – Internal IT, Improbable as Lead IT Engineer and also at Airbnb as EMEA IT Lead.

I did run my own startup for a year and then sold it to keep creating new projects and ideas. I also failed with other projects too. I’m still learning and I love it.

Timeline

Before all of this, I have been a postman, a DJ, I fixed computers as well as designed and coded websites or managed gaming servers. Anything that would help me develop and learn any useful skill I could apply in the future. I’m still learning and I love it!
